» Seawatch I is Licensed for 12 passengers plus 2 crew
» Of course. Please contact me with your requirements and we will tailor the day to your specifications
» Yes. We have facilities on board for making hot drinks. On a bumpy day it can be difficult to make hot drinks, so it’s not a bad idea to bring your own flask as well.
» Yes we do – phone me on 07889288382 for regular updates on the fishing and availability of individual places.
» Prices are listed on our Prices page, which also includes rod hire & 1 set of bottom tackle. I don’t supply feathers etc but I do carry a selection, which can be bought at reasonable prices. These prices are subject to change at any time.
» If I cancel the trip because of weather problems – you may have the option of re-booking another date. If you cancel the booking without 21 days notice then you will be expected to pay the full cost of the trip. Please remember that I am likely to have refused work on the basis of your booking. Seawatch I costs a lot to maintain and is no good to me tied to my mooring.
» I really don’t want to cancel on the morning of the booked charter, after you have traveled to Brightlingsea. This rarely happens but I can only be guided by the forecasts, and I am the only one who can make this decision. I really do want you to enjoy your day out with me – please don’t ring till 7pm as I won’t have had all the forecast information until then.
» Clothing needs to be warm and waterproof even on a nice day. We can store your extra clothing in the passenger cabin in case it turns colder later on. Sun cream - this is a really important item to remember. Appropriate footwear/waterproof boots. (rubber soles only). No flip flops.
» This depends on the type of fishing that we do on the day. It is best if we discuss this when you ring to check that the trip is ‘on’. You can always ring a few days before to have a chat about the fishing, bait and tackle requirements. PLEASE DO NOT BRING a tackle box that takes two men to lift! Please limit your gear to what you will require on the day.
» Dead baits are included in our charter price. We can also supply other types of bait – please contact me for further information.
» If you want to return the fish alive that would be great. I am a great champion of conservation and actively encourage catch & release. If you’d like a photo, I can take as many as you like and e-mail them to you a couple of days after your trip on Seawatch I. However the decision is yours – with the exception of Tope, which must be returned alive back in to the water by law.
» Parking is available across the road at pay and display car park – please click the link below for prices and directions on detailed mapmaphttp://en.parkopedia.co.uk/free/copperas_rd_brightlingsea/parking/ DO
NOT PARK ON THE ROAD NEAR THE JETTY – THIS AREA IS AWASH ON SPRING TIDES.
» I am not permitted alcohol however, I don’t mind you having the odd can or bottle of beer – please just stay in control at all times. PLEASE READ OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS
» Phone me on 07889288382 or at home on 01206 243509, where either myself or my wife Yvonne will take your booking or inquiry.
» Yes you can keep your fish (with the exception of Tope), but it is illegal to sell any fish caught on Seawatch I to offset the cost of your trip. However we promote a catch & release program - So please only take what you need for your table
